Products : Licensing

Because of the nature of Electrum's business, we often create tools & technology that can be re-used or adapted for use by other companies. In these cases, we are able to license this technology to third parties. For example, we have already licensed the web-crawling engine in our PowerMapper product to several large software development companies in the US.

The following technologies are currently available for licensing:

PowerMapper - our award-winning web-crawling and site mapping engine.

WWWord - an Add-in for Microsoft Word which automates the conversion of large documents into well-structured intranet or Internet sites. This tool makes it possible for documents to be created and maintained in Microsoft Word and quickly converted into HTML as required. Thus, both printed and on-line versions of the same document can be generated from a single source.

MiniHttp - a small-footprint web server that runs directly from a CD without any installation or set-up. This server was licensed to the Scottish Police Forces as part of the PINS project.

MiniSearch - a companion for MiniHttp which provides full-text search facilities and hit-highlighting.
