Electrum Multimedia is a new start-up, founded by three ex-employees from Office Workstations Limited - Stuart Harper, Mark Rogers and Gary McGill.
The company is based in Leith, Edinburgh and provides software development products and services for multimedia applications based on the Internet and CD ROM .
Stuart Harper, who was a founder of OWL and who is currently the Chairman of IMAS, the Interactive Media Alliance in Scotland, said: "We have a lot of experience in interactive media and we will provide custom products and services to satisfy the expanding market for innovative multimedia tools and applications for CD ROM and the Web".
Electrum is currently completing the development of a tool, based on Java, to create interactive multimedia presentations for the Internet that have previously only been possible on CD ROM.
