Company Profile

NewFinance Capital LLP is the adviser of the Opus funds of hedge funds and has offices in both London and New York. NFC is regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Schroders plc.

Project Brief

The process of producing monthly fund newsletters involved the NFC team entering data into each newsletter individually and formatting them manually each time. This time consuming process sometimes led to inconsistent outputs which may not have met the branding and style guidelines of the company.

Our Solution

Electrum provided a solution built on its Document Generator service. The online solution allows NFC to log on from anywhere, anytime, to generate their newsletters automatically by simply uploading a spreadsheet containing all of the data required.

Future Developments

Electrum work closely with the NFC team to ensure the system always meets their requirements. Since going Live, Electrum have delivered new templates (including multilingual templates) for NFC and also a new feature allowing them to upload fund commentary using a Microsoft Word file.

Stuart McMeechan, Project Manager : The automatic generation of the Opus Fund newsletters using Document Generator means that the NFC team no longer have to manually enter data and format the layout and graphs of each newsletter. The use of templates ensure that the outputted newsletters are consistently in line with company branding guidelines and suitable for sending out to Clients.
