Company Profile

Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) is one of the largest UK banking groups with 22 million customers. HBOS Corporate Banking provides financing for large, complex deals such as mergers and acquisitions.

Project Brief

Part of the deal-making process involves drafting contracts and documents based on Basel II compliant standard templates. The use of non-standard or non-approved security documents could impact the Bank’s capital adequacy rating under the Basel II framework.

Manually distributing the correct versions of documents to all parties involved in deals was time-consuming and error prone, so HBOS turned to Electrum to provide an extranet to share documents with their legal partners.

Our Solution

Using HBOS internal architecture guidelines Electrum developed the Legal Extranet using ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000 to deliver the project on schedule and to budget.
